Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we begin the 2021-2022 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Samantha Murillo and I am the School Counselor for Griebling and Memorial School.
The elementary years are when students are beginning to develop their academic self-concept as well as their feelings of competence and confidence as leaders. Students are acquiring attitudes toward school, self, peers, social groups, and family.
This school year might evoke a lot of different emotions and there could be added stress and anxiety given the on-going pandemic. Please know that although this school year may look different, our mission always remains the same. Supporting our students and families not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. As a team, we will face whatever challenge comes our way.
